Customer Portfolios is a rapidly growing, multi-channel database marketing services provider located in Boston’s seaport district. Since 2001, CP has been building marketing databases, performing advanced data analysis and segmentation modeling, developing and packaging insight based on analysis and delivering strategic lifecycle marketing programs on behalf of its clients.
To meet the needs of a growing client base, CP is seeking a mid-level addition to its account team to work on project management related deliverables. The Account Manager will report directly to an Account Director and work exclusively on specific accounts as part of a team.
A qualified candidate:
- Is a self-starter, able to take initiative, ask questions, problem solve and negotiate effectively
- Is able to manage their own time and effectively execute with minimal direction
- Knows what a Gantt chart is
- Is highly organized, with Outlook calendar management skills that rival a master Tetris player
- Is able to communicate clearly both in writing and in person
- Is confident in conversation and is able to inject their opinion in a tactful way, when such opinion adds value to the conversation
- Speaks “business” one moment and “tech jargon” the next and is totally comfortable with both personalities
- Gets excited about obscure formatting options in Microsoft Word
- Can write a =SUM() function in Excel
- Is a proud Digital Citizen with technical knowledge of software, hardware and networks
Responsibilities of the position
- Responsible for client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables
- Communicates the client’s goals and represent the client’s interests to the team
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations
- Works closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project
- Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met
- Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Account Director of any problems that may arise
- Aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business
Requirements
- Proven Account Management skills required to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
- 3-5 years of Account/project management experience
- Experience in marketing, specifically:
- Direct Mail / Direct Marketing process
- eMail Marketing
- Print and production concepts
- Relational database concepts
- With campaign management tools
- Undergraduate degree in marketing or business preferred
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Windows
- Strong MS Excel, MS Word skills
